Nevada-based online game supplier, NYX Gaming, has entered into a multi-year partnership with the main lottery provider in the Netherlands, Nederlandse Loterij, a press release issued this Monday reveals. The global supplier of casino, lottery, and sports betting products said they will be working with the
Dutch operator throughout the upcoming years.
Nederlandse Loterij (NL) is the result of a 2016 merger between Netherland’s Staatsloterij and De Lotto, which were conjoined to create a €1 billion state operator that runs the main lottery products in the country like the
Eurojackpot,
Krasloten, and
Staatsloterij. Profits from its various products are split between donations to national charities and sports organizations (37%) and donations to the National Treasury (63%).
The lottery operator has chosen
NYX Gaming as the best platform provider for their state-wide product, thanks to the company’s own line of proprietary solutions. The main products the NL are incorporating are NYX’s OPS (Open Platform System), which was likewise
procured by Portugal’s Solvedere group, among many others, as well as the company’s OGS (Open Gaming System) platform.
The OPS platform was thus far used by the lottery to migrate two separate player databases that were created before the merger into one place and will now be employed to manage players and all
lottery and
sports betting products offered through their retail and digital channels. The OGS, on the other hand, allows for integration of casino products from NYX’s third-party suppliers as well as their own portfolio of games that includes titles from their in-house NextGen studio.
Commenting on the partnership, CEO of NYX, Matt Davey, said that it was a privilege to be able to work with the lottery and that the company was looking forward to developing their mutual partnership over the upcoming months. Joost den Heijer, Nederlandse Loterij COO, likewise expressed his enthusiasm of working with NYX Gaming who, he says, have lived up to their reputation, according to the news agency.
